You know, I've been wondering lately about way back in the day before television and social media, in which even lower class people seemed to have been more well-read. Their speech seemed to have a richer vocabulary and lower class people, some of them, could quote not just from books like the Bible, but also from Shakespeare, Aristotle, Homer, etc. These days it seems like even a middle class person cannot recite a bloody quote from a United States President. It's very disheartening...
