You are correct and this was a partial concern when I began writing this movie list. The others, based on a novel or not, are completely justified because of their emphasis on sexual perversity and explicitness; I know “Kevin” is not like that in that regard. I have only read things about it and I may very well, with “Kevin” being the only exception, contradict myself and watch it some day. But knowing what it is about, sure as I am that it is well-made, I feel more compelled to steer clear than to embrace it.

Maybe I should’ve put The Garbage Pail Kids Movie instead….
