Watched the little clip of J. MacArthur you had attached to your article. I can definitely see how one can become ensnared into MacArthur's theological pathology. His voice does not sound anything like he would if you just saw photos of him and no audio (I keep thinking grumpy old man with chronic hemorrhoids) but his voice is very smooth, and sounds intelligent. He is just all around charismatic to a degree (until you dig deeper into his statements) and that is why he is so dangerous.
