There is a difference between not being liked and not being preferred. A lot of people, like me, will gladly say that Trump is an asshole and has an ego. However many would prefer him over Joe Biden (and his VP) because Biden is every bit as weak as he is incompetent and are a part of the "swamp", one big bureaucracy. People are drawn to Trump because he has a very distinct persona that breaks away from this bureaucratic tradition that is primal vanity in our governmental system. Things just don't get done like they should and the "swamp" has always done well in creating the illusion that things are being done...great things.
