So, just to be clear--I'm not watering down the inquiry about guns but I am just addressing that social media and the consequential isolation play a huge part in this and how it is not addressed as severely, because gun ownership, even for teens, has been around a long time in the States. But mass shootings were rare throughout the 20th Century; again, nothing compared to the 21st. Surely, there is something else within current society that is causing this phenomenon.
