Not even that, as that is contradicting. If God is the creator of the mind, he obviously created it with a vast range of intellectual capabilities to conceptualize and identify truths and facts. It would seem that narrow-mindedness is antithetical to his intentions in creating the human mind and thus a perversity of its own, even in relation to an ultimate truth.

However, if it is the case that God created us with such a powerful instrument that can rationalize and reason (among other things, like creativity) but fears us using it, as in the notion that being open-minded (even when it comes to faith-based subjects) leads to a higher potential of being damned, then he must be the asinine creator of all, because to do so would be like telling a mad man to not create nuclear weapons to cause mass destruction, yet gives the guy resources and materials to make such nuclear weapons. That may sound like a wild comparison but the basis is giving someone something for them to use it in a way that is entirely antithetical to its nature, and for the giver to create a total truth (or total reality) to in which that which was given would hardly succeed, if at all, in comprehending it because that ultimate truth is antithetical to its rational capacity.

For me, it is not a charge against faith as it is a particular approach to faith.
