My heart goes out to you and your daughter for the pain you are experiencing. Our judicial system is very flawed in that it focuses almost exclusively on punishment and not rehabilitation. There is hardly such a sentiment as redemption nor is it a goal at all; only payment is demanded and it is a debt which ia unfairly priced.
