It is sad…sad for both Christine and her victims. She does not deserve to go unpunished but her sentence is unfair to the degree that her troubled past does not count for anything. One tends to think that would come to play and that it’d matter (and it does) but it does not. Our judicial/penal system is outrageous. Again, a troubled past does not excuse her actions but they should play a part in altering her fate considerably.
