I see it differently.

I do not see the Republican Party in the likeness of Germany's AfD or France's RN party; can individual members be like-minded with such parties? Sure. And also remember this--just because they are seen as fascists or have fascistic elements does not mean that they are so.

A party can aspire to achieve affordable healthcare for all, higher taxes on the rich, and low-cost higher education, but that does not make them communists and/or radical socialists. Just because a party has a more nationalist vibe to it does mean they're fascist.

We need to have a more secured border and become more strict with immigrants; on the weekend of the 4th of July, 5,000 migrants were apprehended. But for stricter guidlines, stricter penalties does not make on anti-immigrant. But it's all too easy to smack that label on to someone who upholds these types of views; it's all too easy to calling someone fascist.
