I myself have yet to be challenged on this issue. I cannot think of any artist, writer, performer, musician, or great thinker whose personality/beliefs are so abhorrent, that I decide to abandon their works altogether. I feel like it should be the case that I can condemn their views without condemning their work. I feel like it needs to be this way, because if I were to abandon the works of many great people over time simply because of their views, then I'd be abandoning a great wealth of knowledgeable, artistic, and other such properties of merit.
