It is a political move but it is one that stands its ground against a political party who has gone lax on border policies (putting it nicely); in August of this year, ABC reported that the CBP has made more migrant arrests so far in 2022 than it had throughout all of 2021! And so what are the people of Texas and other states close to the border supposed to do? Just keep them? Deal with it? We'll send help, says D.C. Yeah, right.

It's really abysmal to say the least as to how neglectful this current administration has handled the border situation. Immigration can be a good thing and is in of itself a good thing; but it becomes the opposite when you approach it haphazardly. But hey, why make a bother of it? At least, we've established some sense of common decency....
