I like your list but wished it didn’t include two of the same movies (Benhur). It made you leave out Dr. Zhivago, The Longest Day, Schindler’s List, Spartacus.

Outside of the U.S., I love the German films Das Boot and Downfall.

I love epic films — they’re exciting, they’re majestic in a way, and they don’t make them as often if at all anymore, which makes them nostalgic.
