I have three of his books in my library: The Road, No Country For Old Men, and Blood Meridian. I have read the first two and have yet to read the third. It is funny how you give the example texts which contain his more complex and difficult prose. I don’t remember No Country for Old Men or The Road containing prose that difficult. Maybe his difficulty fluctuates between his books like they do his pages…and paragraphs…and sentences.

Still, he is an iconic American writer.
