I don't understand the way people have reacted to Rowling's comments on transgenderism. I feel very partial to standup comedians/commentaries like Dave Chapelle, Ricky Gervais, Bill Maher, and others that it is a deplorable notion that one should shut up about their own view of things simply because it is "offensive" to other parties. This notion has become stronger in contemporary times and little do people seem to be aware that it has cultivated an unique brand of totalitarianism, a very subtle one.
