I believe I understand where you are coming from...but to me, if Christianity is meant to usurp the individual, individual identity, and cancel the uniqueness of said individual because it implies it is automatically about collectivism, then it it is evil...plain and simple. It does not matter if Christ taught it, the Buddha, or Muhammad; any ideology or belief that cancels individuality is evil and sadly this passage often cements a sort of staunch collectivism in one's mind.

Thankfully, it need not be interpreted this way.
