I'm one of those that asks: "Why don't you make something new, like a new character, a new, different story who is bisexual, rather than going back and revamping characters that are already established?"

If you want a black female protagonist, make something new; don't remake a great classic movie that is only 33 years old; though it may seem like this is a lot about race, which to a degree it is, it's about doing remakes and revamping characters already established as what they are, rather than creating something new, with a new character, new plot.
